Each book sold on our website is one-of-a-kind! Unfortunately, the sale's program will only let us sport one picture per item. So in order to give you all the details about each book, inside and out, we've had to come up with a few key-code descriptions for our most common styles. This Options page will help you understand what they mean. It will also give you an idea of what options are available for Fully Customized orders.
Tattered Edge Cover This option is available on hardbound paper-covered books. Each Tattered-Edge design is different. It is featured on both front and back covers and looks great on paper choices that have a repeating or simple pattern. |
| Splattered Pages This option usually comes in one or two colors, complimenting the cover design. The splattered colors will be on all three of the exposed "paper" edges. Our most common requested colors are either black, brown, or gold plus a matching color.

| Fancy Spines Available on hardbound books with leather-spines only. Designs from top to bottom: 1. Classic Binds (usually 3-5) 2. Soft Sways 3. Zig-Zag 4. Flat-Back 5. Celtic Swirl 6. S-Hooks

Page Dividers These are extra pages, usually card-stock, that compliments the book's cover design and separates the pages into various sections. I like to use this for my "writing journals", giving me smaller sections for brain-storming ideas. |
Lined Pages A lot of our books sport lined pages. In order to maintain proper paper-grain direction (see the 'How it's Made' page), the lined pages are printed by us prior to starting the hand-sewing process. Because of this, lined-paged books usually cost a little more than blank-paged books. |
| Old-Style Binding This is the original old-style way of binding books. The signatures are sewn onto ropes which are then used to attach the covers. This is our most solid and sturdy binding. This style tends to cost a little more due to the extra time required to make it, but it's totally worth it! |
Book Closure A variety of clasps and closures are used/available. In Hardbound, a clasp similar to this is held closed by Velcro. In Softbound, it could be rope or buttons. Each project is a little different, making them unique and fun to make. |
